bath time fun.

Sawyer doesn't take very many baths. The kid is just dirty... no, kidding. He is a shower boy. Loves the shower, not so much of a fan of the bath. So whenever I choose to bathe him instead of showering him I turn it into a photo op. Here are some of the more memorable images from our bath time fun. His hair is getting so long!

What can I say?

The life of a 14 month old. It has gotten more interesting as I am home with him daily. I truly love it and know that it is beyond a blessing for me to get to hang with him all the time.

He is quite the handful. The other day I found him like this...

And basically at every turn he is attempting to climb something. We have a climber.

I am really surprised that he has not climbed out of the crib yet. I bet he will, especially since I just typed that. lol.

And while I am here I will share with you a really cool picture I took the other day. This was the sunset in our court. Love it!

He has gone straight!

I have one of those really good straightening irons. My hair is not really curly or straight, in between, so I have to make it straight, really.

Anyway. I have been dying of curiosity to see what S. would look like straight and all. So this is what you have.

I think he is adorable anyway, but he does look a little like Albert Einstein here. :)

I hope we brightened your day!

blueberries

I thawed out some frozen blueberries for Sawyer today. I put his giant toddler bib that covers everything from neck to thigh and put him in his highchair.

I came back to him, bib ripped off, and blueberries painted all over the tray of the highchair. The best part was his face.

how can you resist a face like that? :)

Merry Christmas!

something to be thankful for...

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I have been reflecting upon the past year today. Thinking of what it was like to have a two week old for Thanksgiving last year and then what it is like to have a one year old this year. I am thankful for this past year. He has grown so much, become such a little boy.

Some of the things he has been doing recently are just amazing me. I mean truly amazing me. And I don't want to brag, because truthfully it is not about what he can do and others can't. Or what he can't do that others can. Each child is their own person and will develop in their own unique way. Ok, off my soapbox...

He says no less than 12 words.

Mama (so proud of this one)
Dada
Nana (banana)
hat
bebe (all babies including himself)
bisbe (frisbee)
juce (juice)
papa (grandpa)
baba (brother)
light
mmmmmmnnn (cow)
ball

And I think there are more but I can't keep up with all of them

He is so loving, and into everything. He is pretty stubborn, wonder where he got that one. And most of all he is the greatest gift ever.

Thanks for reading my thanksgiving ramblings. I hope that you feel as blessed as we do! :)
